The golden rule: stop mugging gaps
Hovering your user over an interior gap at the line (the old Madden habit) triggers pancake animations across your front. Sit back off the ball instead — you lose nothing and your linemen stay on their feet. Same rule on the edge: pressing your user down into the line loses outside contain; hanging off-ball keeps it.
