Cover 6 (and Cover 9)

How to identify it

• Two high safeties, but the outside corners sit at different depths: the cover-2-side corner is up near 5 yards, the cover-4-side corner is back near 8.
• Cover 6 puts the cover 2 half to the boundary (short side / near hash) and quarters to the field. Cover 9 is the same coverage flipped. Check where the ball is spotted to know which side is which.
• It's a match coverage — zone defenders man up on routes as they declare.
